About IPAF course cost
Joseph Ellul (5 Dolce Vita Corte, Triq San Mikiel, San Gwann, SGN 2303, Malta). We run this site and pass each enquiry to workplace safety training providers that run IPAF courses covering the enquirer's area.
Why this site exists
We read 45 providers' own pages on 28 October 2026 and only 17 of them print a figure, so the only way to see the spread is to read all of them and show the working. That is what this site is: one table, every source named, dated.
Who it is for
Anyone about to buy this service who wants to know what it costs before they ask, and who would rather see the published prices than a range somebody made up.
What is on this site
One question, "ipaf training", answered with a quote form that works on the page with no account, 5 guides on the questions around it, a data table you can cite (the figures and their method), and the sources every figure rests on.
- The IPAF course price index: every published figure: Every provider we read that publishes a figure for IPAF training, what it publishes, and the day we read it. 18 of 45 read.
- The cheapest published prices in the IPAF course price index: The 4 providers publishing at or under £175.25, the lower quartile of every figure we read for IPAF training.
- Who publishes a price, and who makes you ask: 17 of 45 providers read for IPAF training publish a figure. These are the ones that do not.
- IPAF course cost: what UK training centres publish, by category: IPAF course cost in the UK: a median of £268.50 for the 3a and 3b dual course across centres' own prices, £204 to £428.75, and every other category.
- IPAF course: the categories, the PAL card and what the law asks: What an IPAF course covers, which category you need for a scissor lift or a cherry picker, how long the PAL card lasts and why an employer has to train.
What it does not do
- No ranking, no best-of list and no scores: the table is sorted by the figure, not by us.
- No paid placement, no affiliate links and no sponsored rows.
- No invented figure: a provider that publishes nothing is listed as publishing nothing.
Who answers for it

IPAF course cost is a guide and free introduction service operated by Joseph Ellul (5 Dolce Vita Corte, Triq San Mikiel, San Gwann, SGN 2303, Malta). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by IPAF; the IPAF name is used only to identify the courses discussed. We pass your details to workplace safety training providers covering your area, who quote you directly; we may receive a fee from them, and you pay nothing and are under no obligation. Nothing here is health and safety advice. Every figure is read from the named centre's own public page on the date shown and is what that centre advertises, not a quote for your booking.
